The artist Hector Janse van Rensburg alias Sitty Watercolor alias “Swatercolour” makes us happier and our life healthier with his comics that look like little hugs and a cat meow. The UK-based painter has become a global phenomenon and is now considered the world’s most popular self-deprecating artist.
“The comics that came before this series were less optimistic, and this series is kind of an answer to that. Sometimes they deal with difficult topics like mental health, but the point of comics isn’t about solving problems, it’s about showing them a different perspective. This new perspective often comes from the cat based on my cat Ona, who passed away a few years ago, ”Hector told Now Wake Up about his most recent work.
