“I started emulating Herman and The Far Side as a kid, and even at that young age I knew I was making derivative garbage, but the love of cartoons persisted through high school and college Derek told Bored Panda. “Bogart Creek is only two years old, but I’ve been drawing comics in various forms for many years. A turning point for me was about twenty years ago, when I worked summers as a cartoonist in Toronto’s Ontario Place, attracting hundreds of tourists. all summers. It was a strange kind of performance, trying to save the punchline for last to get the best reaction from the audience. I can’t say I’m a fan of being “on stage,” but I get a similar feeling. I love watching how people respond to my black-and-white drawings online.

Bogart Creek happened largely because I was getting too depressed drawing political cartoons of Trump Derek says. I have gained some momentum in that field of social commentary and it was suggested that I send some to the New Yorker. At the time, their policy did not allow political cartoons so I started making dry cerebral one-panel jokes about social media matters.

I have been always interested in drawing, I remember that in high school I drew caricatures of my teachers and made my friends laugh. When I lived in London a local magazine was looking for a regular comic and I started doing Insert Brain Here, this must have been around 2008. It’s been going well since then.

Given Paul’s answer above, we asked the artist what inspired him to make comics, and here’s what he told us after some consideration: “Documents, movies, my kids. Sometimes I see a particular animal on TV or outside”. “And an idea occurs to me. I love making people laugh.”

Woods previously mentioned that art has always been present in his way of life, since the artist went to school he already found art something therapeutic.

“As with question one, I have always been interested in drawing, since school. I see it as something therapeutic, it is nice to disconnect and do something I enjoy. That said, being a comic artist is not my specialty.” In my part-time job, however, my comics are published in several regular newspapers in Australia and the UK.”

Lonnie Easterling has been drawing “ Spud Comics ” for nearly nine times. They’re single-panel cartoons that he writes, draws, inks, and colors. He can find further than 1,100 on the Facebook and Twitter websites. Spud Comics has nothing to do with potatoes( although he did draw many comics about potatoes then and there). The surname his forefather gave him was “ Spud, ” so he allowed of using that name for the silly studies he drew on paper.

One of the key topics discussed was his current project, a graphic novel called “Peyote Cowboy.” As Dan explained, “Illustrating Peyote Cowboy has certainly thrown some curve balls at me. The main challenge has been translating the ethereal and mystical visions in my mind into tangible visual forms on paper… And maintaining the authenticity of the setting and the This era has required a lot of research, but I guess it’s all part of the journey.”

When asked about recurring characters or themes in his vast collection of comics, Dan explained: “When it comes to recurring characters or themes, there isn’t one in particular that I’m drawn to repeatedly… Although I have to admit there is. I have a soft spot for “poking fun at the quirks and idiosyncrasies of daily life.”

Reflecting on memorable fan interactions over the years that Piraro has been an artist, he shared a very heartfelt story. One that stands out is when a fan told me that my comics helped him get through a rough patch in his life. Life when dealing with depression, I was younger at the time but it was a humbling moment that reminded me of the profound impact that art can have on people other than its creator.
